Under the patronage of HE Sheikh Hamad bin Jabor bin Jassim Al Thani, Secretary General of the Planning Council, the Secretariat General of the Planning Council organizes in cooperation with GCC Secretariat General and Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) a regional workshop on Sampling Design in Millennium hotel during 15
- 17 May 2007.

Attendees are statisticians and demographers from UAE, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait, KSA, Jordan, Syria, Iraq, Palestine, Lebanon, Egypt and Yemen, as well as the host country Qatar.

Participants will be trained on use of sampling techniques (simple, random, cluster and multi stage sampling) and use of United Nations software. |
