The bulletin showed that total number of establishments in building
and construction amounted to (1845) establishments, where (1294)
employ less than (50) employees, i.e. about (70%) of total
establishments, while number of establishments employing (50) or
more employees was (551) establishments, i.e. about (30%) of total
establishments.
Total number of employees in establishments employing less than (50)
employees amounted to (20312) persons and they received annual
salaries of about (635) million Qatari Riyals (QR), while
establishments employing (50) employees and more employed (286652)
persons and received annual salaries of about (8116) million (QR.).
Number of Qatari working in this activity was (813) persons and
number on non-Qatari was (306151) persons.
Gross value added (Gross Domestic Product) in building and
construction amounted to about (32507) million (QR), while net value
added (after eliminating depreciation) amounted to (31081) million (QR).
Average annual wage of employees in this activity was (28574 QR.),
and gross value added per worker was (105898 QR).
Percentage of intermediate goods to production (e.g. raw material,
fuels, lubricants, electricity, water, consumable tools and spare
parts, stationary… etc.) was (40%), while percentage of services
(e.g. maintenance, transportation, services rendered by others,
rents of non-residential buildings, equipment machinery and
transportation equipment… etc.) to production was (8%).
