Aid Memoire on technical cooperation between UN-ESCWA and the Planning Council |

In cooperation and coordination with the Tourism General Authority
and within the frame of various activities executed by the
General-Secretariat of Planning Council, which concerned plans,
programmes, strategies, social and economical visions and
highlighting important issues in the Qatari economy, |

the General-Secretariat of the Planning Council organizes in
cooperation with the councilor company, Bouz Alen, symposium about
setting a strategy for the Tourism Sector in the state of Qatar and
its future role as an important supporter to the Qatari economy.
That will be on Thursday 9 June 2005, in Alsafeer Hall in the Diplomatic Club. Numbers of directors from different governmental ministries and authorities and private sectors will participate in it. The symposium will highlight some regional and international successful experiments in tourism sector. In addition, it will manifest the importance of the tourism sector in the Middle East and in the state of Qatar considering it promising, its developments requirements and its future horizons.
