100,000 families inside and outside Doha completed Census Forms

 
   

The field operations of the Establishment, Population and Housing Census is continuing as some 100,000 families have been counted inside and outside Doha by Census enumerators or through E-census website.

 
   


On this occasion, President of Qatar Statistics Authority H.E. Sheikh Hamad bin Jabor bin Jassim Al Thani extended his thanks to all government officials for cooperating with QSA, and to nationals and residents for completing census forms as well as helping QSA to carry out the 2010 Census. He also thanked the press for reporting about census updates as well as keeping the public abreast of its developments.
He urged nationals and residents to utilize the online registration before it is closed. The deadline for the e-registration is Friday, 7 May 2010, he recalled, adding that those facing problems with regard to online registration or filling in census forms can contact the QSA for held on the free line (8000800).
Regarding ‘Census in School’ competition, he said QSA have selected the winners and will be awarding prizes in a ceremony to be held on 13 May at QSA premises (West Bay- Doha Tower). The ceremony will be attended by winning students and their parents and their school principals.
Census in School is an Internet based data collection and analysis project for students in levels 5 - 12. This project can be used in support of statistical, mathematical, and other curricula.
On the other hand, QSA will begin next week the automated coding of jobs, economic activities, education and scientific specializations. Some families will be contacted to ensure the quality of collected data.
