Increase in Consumer Price Index during November 2010

 
   

Qatar Statistics Authority released the Consumer price Index (CPI) for November 2010. The CPI was reached 107.17 with increase of 0.35% compared to October 2010.

 
   


An increase was still hitting the Food Transport and Communications with a percentage of 1.49% comparing with October 2010, and 4.12 when compared with November 2009.

Moreover, Garments and Footwear has also increased about 1.59% when compared with the previous month, and 3.06% when compared with counterpart in 2009.

As for Rent, Household Fuel and Energy, which was the most influential in decline of the CPI during the previous periods, was almost stable between November and October; however it declined about 7.00% comparing with the counterpart in 2009.

When calculating the CPI after eliminating effect of rent, it was noticed that it was increase by (3.08%) during November 2010 when compared to November 2009 .
