Within the framework of the Planning Council's plan to provide and develop economic statistics, the Statistics Department (SD) released the latest estimates of the Gross Domestic product (GDP) by kind of economic activity (quarterly and annually). In this capacity the SD is implementing the United Nation's 1993 System of National Accounts, (SNA 93) since 2000. Before that the SD was implementing the United Nation's 1968 system of National Accounts (SNA 68) .
The vision of the Planning Council's SD to issue these data, comes in view of the rapid and continuous development in various sectors as well as the increasing interest to provide economical statistics for analysts and researchers .
The General Secretariat of the Planning Council welcomes any comments and proposals for the future improvement of these estimates.
