The Statistics Department of the Secretariat General of the Planning
Council commenced the preparatory works of the Economic Activity
Survey. This survey will cover all establishments that practice any
economic activity, whether industrial, commercial, services or
construction. |

This survey aims to provide up to date information regarding
production value, intermediate consumption, generated value added
and its distribution for all economic activities, through monitoring
movement of internal trade, manufacturing, construction, hotels and
restaurants, transport and communications, which includes airlines
bureaus, travel and tourism agencies, telephone services ة etc.,
business services, which includes various sectors that provide
services to the society, i.e. advocate bureaus, chartered
accountants, engineering and consultancy bureaus, market research,
software systems ة etc., in addition to social services, which
includes various types of community services, e.g. social and sport
clubs activities, various recreational activities, personal care
services and other related services. |

This survey will provide huge amounts of data that
serves planning and development in Qatar, in order to know economic
growth rates in the State in all economic activities. In addition to
that indicators about consumer price index will be available, which
serves economic analysis and measurement of indicators.
