The Forum will bring together government representatives from United Nations
Member States as well as interested stakeholders from non-governmental
organizations, academia and the private sector to address and discuss critical
and cutting-edge issues on global geospatial information management. The Forum

five technical sessions over the next three days. Bringing all stakeholders
together, the Forum will address current critical matters such as: the
importance of and drivers for building a sustainable national geospatial
information system; future trends in geospatial information, including growing
the information base and promoting its greater use; developing an effective
global geodetic reference framework and leveraging location-based services;
